Parkland RCMP investigate fuel theft and damage exceeding $5,000

Alberta News

Acheson, Alta. – At approximately 6:07 a.m., on May 28, 2026, Parkland RCMP received a report of a fuel theft and mischief at a site near Highway 16A in Acheson. The incident occurred overnight, between 7:30 p.m. on May 27, 2026, and 5:30 a.m. on May 28, 2026.


Suspects drove a dually truck onto the site, exited the vehicle, and entered an excavator, which they used to tear open a trailer containing equipment. Approximately $20,000 in diesel fuel was stolen, and the damage to equipment on site is estimated at over $5,000.
