The 54th Annual Coronation Pro Rodeo was held Aug. 1 to 3, with a full slate of events, while also paying tribute to a beloved figure in the rodeo world.
This year’s rodeo was dedicated to the memory of T.J. Baird of Halkirk, Alta., a respected and well-known bullfighter in Canadian rodeo circles who passed away Nov. 16, 2024. Baird’s rodeo legacy spanned both sides of the border, highlighted by 11 consecutive appearances at the Canadian Finals Rodeo from 1996 to 2006.
In true rodeo fashion, the weekend featured a lively chili cook-off, a Western fashion show, live music and dancing, and free camping for attendees.
The Coronation Pro Rodeo continues to be a summer highlight for rodeo fans, competitors and families alike.
