On Oct. 21, 2025, at 8:45 a.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle hitting the Shopper’s Drug Mart located at 1200 Market Street SE in Airdrie. Investigation has revealed that the vehicle was west bound on Yankee Valley Blvd when the driver lost control, crossed the road and hit the north west corner of the Shopper’s.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. No one inside the business was injured, but the business was heavily damaged.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
