Airdrie RCMP seeks public assistance in bank robbery investigation

Update: 8:16 PM Oct. 1, 2025. On Sept. 27, 2025, Airdrie RCMP was dispatched to an armed robbery that occurred at the Servus Credit Union located at 2800 Main Street South in Airdrie. Upon arrival, RCMP learned that a lone male suspect, who was concealing his face with a blue surgical mask, entered the financial institution and demanded money while threatening to shoot the cashier.
Surveillance has shown that the suspect changed into a white shirt and white hat shortly after the robbery. At this time, investigators believe that the suspect may also be involved in the Red Deer armed robbery that occurred on Sept. 25, 2025, and the Banff robbery that occurred on Oct. 1, 2025. They are believed to be related based on the manner, physical descriptors and clothing.
Airdrie RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in relation to this incident. Anyone with any footage, be it dashcam, home camera or otherwise, of the area around the Servus Credit Union, between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., as well as the area around the Morningside community, between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., is asked to please review the footage and submit anything that may be relevant to the investigation.

On Sept. 27, 2025, at 0938 hrs, the Airdrie RCMP were dispatched to an armed robbery that had occurred at the Servus Credit Union located at 2800 Main Street South in Airdrie. Upon arrival, RCMP learned that a lone male suspect, who was concealing his face with a blue surgical mask, entered the financial institution and demanded money while threatening to shoot the cashier. A firearm was not displayed by the suspect and no injuries were sustained. The suspect promptly left the scene on a bicycle, which was later located by a dumpster near the residences in the Morningside community, with what is believed to be the clothes worn by the suspect.
