Alberta News

Beaver Lake, Alta. – Lac La Biche RCMP partnered with Eastern Alberta District’s RCMP Crime Reduction Unit to execute a search warrant at a residence in the Beaver Lake Cree Nation. Police were granted a search warrant that was executed with the assistance of Alberta RCMP’s Emergency Response Team on the evening of Oct. 24, 2025. Four adults were arrested.

During the search of the residence, police located and seized a sawed-off shotgun, 4 replica firearms, an additional firearm and some ammunition. One male was arrested and charged.

Tristan Bradley Campbell (29), a resident of Long Plain First Nation, Man., was charged with:

•             Possession of a loaded firearm;

•             Possession of a firearm while prohibited;

•             Possession of ammunition while prohibited; and

•             Fail to comply with a release order (x2).

Tristan Campbell was held in police custody for a judicial hearing. He was remanded in police custody and is set to appear for a bail hearing in Lac La Biche on Nov. 3, 2025.

“This investigation resulted in police arresting a prolific offender and removed unsafe firearms from the streets,” said Cpl. Chris Salamon of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit.  “Crime Reduction Units in collaboration with RCMP detachments, like Lac La Biche, effectively target priority offenders who cause the most harm in our communities and play a crucial role to increase public safety.”
