Toronto has officially gained the title of “Canada’s tallest building” with the completion of The One, formerly known as One Bloor West. The mixed-use tower reached its full architectural height of 308.6 metres (1,013 ft) on June 24, 2025, overtaking First Canadian Place as the country’s tallest structure.
Developed by Sam Mizrahi, the building features 91 storeys of residential, commercial, and hotel space, marking Canada’s first “supertall” tower—defined as any building over 300 metres.
Once fully operational, The One is expected to align its roofline with the CN Tower’s main observation platform, visually integrating into Toronto’s iconic skyline.
As the latest milestone in Canada’s evolving real-estate landscape, it also sets the stage for even taller projects in the city, including the under-construction SkyTower at Pinnacle One Yonge, which is proposed to surpass it with a height of approximately 352 m.
