Oyen, Alta. – Between 8 p.m. on July 14, and 7:30 a.m. on July 15, 2025, a suspect(s) entered the property of an off-duty RCMP officer in Oyen. The suspect(s) placed two homemade tire deflation devices under the tires of a police vehicle parked at the residence. The homemade deflation devices punctured two tires, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Oyen RCMP is actively investigating this serious incident. The lives of the officers and the public could have been placed at risk as a result of this crime.
