Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) has taken carriage of the investigation which took place in the Lancaster Meadows area of Red Deer on May 11, 2026.

As a result of the investigation, two 14-year-old female youths, both residents of Red Deer, have been identified.

One youth has been arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault by Choking.

The second youth has been arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

Both youths have been released with conditions to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on June 25, 2026.

RCMP continue to investigate and thank the witnesses who came forward to assist in the investigation. No further information is available at this time.
