Brooks RCMP has charged a 25-year-old Brooks resident with criminal harassment and mischief following an investigation into incidents affecting a local resident.
On Dec. 10, 2025, officers began an investigation after an electrician was called to a residence where the unit was reportedly experiencing frequent power outages. Upon arrival, the electrician observed that the power had been manually switched off to the unit. Additionally, the electrician reported unusual behavior from the property representative at the scene, prompting him to make a report.
Brooks RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) took carriage of the investigation. After gathering sufficient evidence, officers arrested Brian Woodman (25), on Jan. 8, 2026. Woodman faces charges of criminal harassment and mischief, specifically related to obstructing the resident’s use and enjoyment of her property. He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Brooks on Feb. 18, 2026.
