FORESTBURG, ALBERTA – Sept. 11, 2025 — Coutts Home Hardware has been recognized with the Paul Straus Public Relations Award at the Proud of My Home Achievement Awards and Celebration. The awards were presented at Home Hardware Stores Limited’s 2025 Homecoming event in Toronto on Sept. 10, 2025.

“This recognition is especially meaningful for our team at Coutts Home Hardware, where we pride ourselves on our community events and personable social media presence,” said Bob Coutts, Dealer-Owner, Coutts Home Hardware. “I’m deeply grateful for the hard work of the generations before me, and to my team today for their commitment to our community and to maintaining the strong legacy of Coutts Home Hardware.”

The Paul Straus Public Relations Award celebrates one store’s outstanding commitment to public

relations and community service. Coutts Home Hardware was selected for this award out of more than 1,000 Home Hardware stores across Canada and was one of 18 stores recognized with a Proud of My Home Achievement Award.

Next year marks 100 years since Bob’s grandfather, Jim Coutts, started the family’s original hardware business in Alberta. The business was later passed to his son, Stan Coutts, who established the current location in 1974. Bob grew up in the family business, beginning his journey as a part-time employee in 1976 and putting his marketing degree to work as a full- time member of the team in 1983. Today, the Coutts Home Hardware team of 10 staff has over 130 years of combined experience in the industry.
