Castor’s Theresetta School Education Foundation hosted a fundraising hockey game at the Beaverdome on Nov. 20, bringing the CFCW Critters to town for a high-energy matchup against the hometown Theresetta Knights. The event was part of the Critters’ long-running rural road trip, which takes the volunteer-based team through small communities across Alberta to raise money for local projects.
Residents packed into the Beaverdome as the Knights welcomed the Critters to the ice, turning the evening into a community celebration that blended entertainment and grassroots support. The event contributed to ongoing efforts by the Theresetta School Education Foundation to enhance educational opportunities and facilities for local students.
The CFCW Critters, organized through the CFCW radio network, have developed a reputation for drawing crowds with their lighthearted style of play and their commitment to helping communities. Their visits traditionally raise funds that remain in the host town, supporting initiatives ranging from minor sports programs to school and arena upgrades. Past Critters events across Alberta have collectively generated well over a million dollars for local causes.
