The 10th annual Alix Agricultural Society Rodeo drew crowds to the village arena Aug. 15 and 16 for two days of rodeo action and community celebration.
The event, part of the Central Alberta Rodeo Association (CARA) circuit, featured traditional rodeo performances with slack on Saturday at noon, a Friday evening show at 5 p.m., and the main Saturday performance at 4 p.m. Contestants competed in a range of events alongside family-friendly features such as mutton bustin’.
Beyond the arena, visitors enjoyed a mix of entertainment and hospitality. Friday wrapped up with a DJ dance, while Saturday capped off with a live cabaret. A beer garden, food trucks and free on-site camping added to the weekend atmosphere.
The rodeo was also held in conjunction with Alix Days, the community’s broader summer festival, helping draw spectators from across the region.
The milestone year was marked by a strong turnout and enthusiastic crowds.
