On Aug. 2, 2026, Lloydminster RCMP received reports of a break and enter to a residence. Further investigation determined that, in addition to the break and enter, a kidnapping, robbery, assault with a weapon, and forcible confinement had also occurred. During the course of the investigation, Lloydminster RCMP have identified the 6 individuals involved and have arrested 3 so far.

As a result of the investigation, Chase Michalski (30), Breanna Kehijekonaham (28) and Kyler Ackerman (27), all residents of Lloydminster, were arrested and charged with multiple offences, including:

• Break and enter;

• Kidnapping;

• Forcible confinement;

• Robbery; and

• Assault with a weapon.

Michalski, Kehijekonaham and Ackerman were released on conditions and are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on Oct. 6, 2026.

Furthermore, James Blohm (37), Amber Eyben (43), both residents of Vermilion River, Alta., and Avery Turner (24), a resident of Elk Point, Alta., have been charged with the same offences. Warrants have been issue for their arrests.
