Torrington, Alta. – On Sept. 24, 2025, at approximately 7:22 a.m., Olds RCMP was called to a structure fire on 1 Avenue in Torrington. Officers arrived on scene and the house was engulfed in flames. Torrington Fire Department, with assistance from other neighbouring fire departments, also attended.

Once it was safe to enter the residence, two deceased persons were located inside the house, believed to be a 57-year old male and 38-year-old female, residents of the house. There will be an autopsy on Sept. 25, at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious, however, the investigation continues.
