Red Earth Creek RCMP issue shelter in place - Update

Update: Red Earth Creek RCMP is advising that the shelter in place has been lifted. It is believed that the suspects have exited the area. RCMP is asking residents to be aware of any suspicious activity and to report it immediately if seen.
On Nov. 15, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Red Earth Creek was notified of an armed robbery at a business located on Blue Sky Road. Multiple firearms were stolen during the robbery. After this armed robbery, suspects shot at a civilian who was in the area. RCMP were unable to locate the suspects and suspect vehicle at this time.
At 8:15 p.m., RCMP located the suspect vehicle and the three suspects 3.5 km north of Peerless Trout First Nation on Highway 686. Again, the suspects fled. RCMP set up containment and called in resources to assist with the search. At around 6:30 a.m., after extensive searches, it was determined that the suspects were no longer in the area.
RCMP continue to search for the suspects. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Please DO NOT approach them if you encounter them. Call 911 immediately.
On Nov. 15, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., unknown suspects committed a robbery near Red Earth Creek in which several firearms were stolen. The suspects fled and were not located by police.
At 6 p.m., RCMP were notified of several sightings of the suspect vehicle, and at 8:15 p.m., RCMP located the vehicle and three suspects 3.5 km north of Peerless Lake First Nation. The suspects appeared to be using a jerry can gas up the truck. Upon police arrival, the suspects fled into the woods. It is believed that they took three firearms with them.
RCMP is asking people in the area to stay in your homes, lock up and do not answer your door. If you see anything suspicious, please call 911. As well, please refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media.
