The Stettler and District History Book Committee hosted a launch event Jan. 17 at the Stettler Public Library, where volunteers shared insights into their research and development of the new local history book. Guests including County of Stettler Reeve Larry Clarke and Town of Stettler Mayor Gord Lawlor delivered greetings to those in attendance. The book itself is a comprehensive multi-volume record of the region’s heritage from the late 1800s to the present, featuring thousands of pages of historical narrative, more than 1,200 family stories, and extensive coverage of local businesses and organizations. The project was created to preserve and celebrate the community’s story for current and future generations.
