UFA broadens prairie presence in Saskatchewan

Canadian News

Alberta-based UFA Co-operative is expanding further into Saskatchewan with the opening of its first full-service retail farm and ranch supply store in the province.

The new location is in Emerald Park, just east of Regina, and represents a significant step in the co-operative’s growth across Western Canada. Construction on the site began in late 2025 and the store officially opened this spring.

UFA has operated petroleum cardlock locations in Saskatchewan for several years, but the Emerald Park development is the organization’s first retail farm supply operation in the province. The company said the site will provide producers with access to farm supplies, crop input products and building materials.

The five-acre development includes a 9,300-square-foot farm store, a building materials structure, cold storage space and a chemical storage facility. The property is located along Highway 1, about nine kilometres east of Regina.

UFA has continued to increase its Saskatchewan presence in recent years through new petroleum cardlock facilities in communities including Melfort and Regina’s Global Transportation Hub. The co-operative has also announced additional fuel sites planned for Moosomin, Outlook and Rosetown.

The co-operative, which has more than 120,000 member-owners, operates across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
