Westlock RCMP makes arrest in break and enter

On Nov. 11, 2025, RCMP were informed of a break and enter that occurred at a commercial site, where two individuals cut into a fence and stole approximately $70000 worth of copper. Investigation revealed the identity of the two suspects and warrants were sought for both. On Dec. 12, 2025, one of the suspects was arrested. The other remains at large.
As a result of the investigation, Mark Wesley Wildman (48), a resident of Westlock, and John Joshua Ford (52), a resident of Athabasca, Alta., were charged with Break and enter to commit theft over $5000 and Break and enter to commit mischief over $5000. Wildman was additionally charged with two counts of failure to comply with court orders.
Wildman was arrested and brought before a justice of the peace, who released him on conditions. He was to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Westlock on Jan. 7, 2025, but has since been arrested for breaching said conditions. He was charged with failure to comply with release orders and has been remanded into custody, appearing before the same court on Dec. 22, 2025.
