Drayton Valley RCMP responds to fatal motor vehicle collision

Drayton Valley, Alta. – On Oct. 27, 2025, around 12:55 p.m., Drayton Valley RCMP responded to reports of a collision on Highway 22, at the intersection of Highway 621. The investigation is ongoing but preliminary information suggests a semi-truck was traveling Northbound on Highway 22 when a minivan, who had been traveling East on Highway 621, came across the intersection in front of the semi-truck, resulting in a collision. The passenger of the minivan, a 67-year-old Cynthia, Alta., female resident, was declared deceased on scene and the driver was brought to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries and is still in critical condition.

 

Alberta RCMP sends their condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
