Grande Prairie RCMP requests public assistance in assault

On Feb. 1, 2026, Grande Prairie RCMP and Grande Prairie Police Service (GPPS) received a report regarding an assault that had taken place at the Eastlink Center Pool earlier that day. An adult male, who was using the facilities with two kids, became irritated with one of the staff, spat in their face and uttered threats before leaving the area. Video surveillance of the suspect was obtained.

 

The suspect was described as:

  • Pale complexion;

  • 5 feet, 9 inches;

  • 200 pounds; and

  • Has multiple tattoos on his left hand, arm and shoulder.

 

Grande Prairie RCMP and GPPS are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to this incident. Anyone who can identify the suspect or has any information is asked to please contact the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700.
