On Aug. 24, 2026, Vegreville RCMP were informed of a break and enter into a business that occurred overnight, between 2 and 4 a.m. Video footage was obtained and two suspects were noted, one of which appeared to be wearing a “Barstool Sports New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons” knit sweater. Both departed aboard what appeared to be a mini-van or SUV. A general description from the footage as follows:

• Suspect #1:

  • Male;

  • Thin build;

  • Barstool Sports New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons” knit sweater;

  • Dark grey shoes with a white sole;

  • Dark blue jeans;

  • Black gloves with red trim around wrist.

• Suspect #2

  • Female;

  • Medium build;

  • Black leggings and sweater;

  • Glasses; and

  • Black and white shoes.

The stolen items, totalling approximately $32,000, included electronics, cash and rare trading cards. The public is asked to be vigilant while purchasing rare Pokémon trading cards from unknown individuals as they may have been stolen. A list of the cards has been provided.
